A Rough Week for Aiden

This past week has been one of the roughest weeks for the little guy since he has come into the world. On Monday, he went to the doctor & was diagnosed with a double ear infection. He was given antibiotics, as well as some allergy medicine. Then, Thursday was his 6 month well-baby appointment. He had a wonderful doctor- woo hoo (shocking!!) He weighed 16 lbs. 1 oz, 25 inches in length (which I do not think is very accurate), and had a 46 cm head- wow! Anyway, everything else checked out fine, including his ears. So then was the part that mommy dreads the most- immunizations. He fell asleep right before he was called into the room; But, he woke up when he was given the oral med. From what Mike says, he was very,very upset this time. When we got home, he was fine for a couple of hours. He took a nap & when he woke up he had a slight fever. I gave him some Tylenol & continued to monitor his temperature. At around 8, he had a temperature of 102.5. The medicine did not help as his fever kept rising. So, we called around & spoke to the Triage Nurse at the hospital. His temperature had dropped one degree before going to bed!! When he woke up this morning it was a little bit lower. At about 9:30 today I took it again & it was 99.1. Lets hope it continues to decrease & stays that way. Poor little guy =(
