Aiden Turns 3!!!

On Saturday July 2, 2011 Aiden turned 3 years old!!! It is insane to believe that he has actually been part of our lives for 3 years already. He is getting old so quickly. This time next year, I will be signing him up for Preschool!!!! He has grown so much over the past three years. He has a great personality and is very easy going. He is learning to talk back now and speak his mind. He is an interesting little guy and we love him dearly.

Even though he requested to have a Mickey Mouse party, I decided to try and convince him otherwise since his 1st and 2nd birthday parties were Mickey Mouse. We decided on a 'Pirate party'. He has been interested in the new show Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney so we were able to pull off this theme. Since we just moved to Fayetteville, we were not able to have a real birthday party because we did not have anyone to invite, so we did our own thing.

- When he woke up in the morning, we had number 3 balloons blown up and thrown all over the floor.
- He made his own Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast.
- We spent the morning playing at Monkey Joes- a bounce house here in Fayetteville.
- We had Chick Fil A for lunch.
- We went to the Build-A-Bear store afterward to create a Daddy Bear. He was able to choose his own bear, stuff it, fill it will a heart, dress it, and even name it. Dad helped him choose the name Sapper. It was super fun.
- After his afternoon nap, he helped me decorate his pirate cupcakes.
- We opened up his presents and played with his new toys.
- We had hot dogs and Mac n cheese- his favorite- for dinner.
- We sang Happy Birthday and of course, ate some cake.
- We finished our evening by a night out by the pool followed by one of his favorite movies, Shrek.

It was an exhausting day, but we all had a great time. Stay tuned to see what we have in store for next year.
